Planning & Logistics Coordinator

Salary: £30,000 per annum
Location: Near Hemel Hempstead
Hours: Full-time, Permanent

We're supporting a well-established manufacturing business near Hemel Hempstead who are seeking a Planning & Logistics Coordinator to join their operations team.

You'll be responsible for managing customer orders, maintaining production schedules, and supporting the dispatch process — ensuring products are built, shipped, and delivered on time.

This role would suit a detail-oriented individual with strong organisational skills and experience in manufacturing, logistics, or production administration.

Planning & Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities:
  • Process and maintain customer orders accurately within the MRP system.

  • Plan and release production work orders in line with schedules and customer demand.

  • Prepare job documentation for the shop floor, including job cards and drawings.

  • Track and update production progress, ensuring data remains accurate and up to date.

  • Support dispatch activities by producing delivery notes, invoices, and certificates.

  • Liaise closely with Production, Operations, and Customer Service to ensure smooth workflow.

Planning & Logistics Coordinator Profile:
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.

  • Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively across departments.

  • Experience with MRP or ERP systems (e.g. SAP, IFS) is essential

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment preferred.

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced setting.
