Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to vulnerable individuals at their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your ability to communicate effectively and follow care plans will be crucial in delivering high-quality care tailored to each individual's needs. A valid driving licence is preferred for this position, as it may involve travelling between locations.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support individuals in following their personalised care plans, ensuring all needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on care progress.
- Document care provided and any changes in residents' conditions accurately in Nourish or other care systems.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to care practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with residents and team members.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for potential travel between locations.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others in need of assistance.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
Languages
Additional languages such as Punjabi, Polish, Romanian, and Arabic are also desirable.
Pay: £12.21-£13.90 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
