Schneider Electric has a challenging opportunity for an experienced and visionary Offer Manager to lead the development and evolution of the sensors portfolio of the Digital Buildings business in Lund, Sweden. You will establish the product vision, own the product roadmap, guide its technical evolution with engineering, craft the commercial model and drive alignment with adjacent product teams.
You will collaborate closely with Program Management, Engineering, Industrialization, Supply Chain, Quality and Commercial Teams and as the owner of your product category you will be responsible for the growth and profitability of your offer.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategy & Market Intelligence
· Craft product vision and business strategy for your offers, within the larger category of in-room solutions. Identify customer needs and their evolution, map industry trends and the competitive landscape
· Identify target segments and work with the commercial teams to develop growth-oriented marketing strategies
· Develop a strong value proposition and competitive positioning, building synergies with other parts of the hardware and software offers
Product Development & Lifecycle Management
· Partner with engineering, project management and other offer management teams to deliver class-leading, differentiated products that strengthen Schneider Electric's solutions for building management
· Maintain an outcome-oriented product roadmap using SAFe/Agile; prioritized by customer value and effort. Develop well-defined product and feature specifications, success metrics and acceptance criteria and elaborate
· Produce business-case financials (P&L, ROI, NPV), working with the commercial teams to evaluate business potential and risk to guide portfolio decisions
· Manage the product lifecycle from conception to offer creation, launch, evolution, maturity and withdrawal
Go-To-Market & Commercialization
· Define reference pricing for your portfolio of products and work with the category management team on pricing across regions
· Partner with marketing, sales & training to develop marketing assets including whitepapers, case studies, webinars etc. Work with the global launch teams and countries to deliver successful product launches
· As a key decision maker and stakeholder for all aspects of the offer you will need to work with diverse teams across the organization including logistics and supply chain, industrialization, quality, marketing. Cross functional problem solving will be a key part of your responsibilities
Desired skills and competencies
· 7+ years of experience in product management in a relevant field
· Strong preference for candidates with experience in domains of building management or industrial automation, and in particular with a focus on wired and wireless sensors
· Strong technical capability and experience working closely with engineering teams on complex, scalable systems.
· Strong business acumen and the ability to have perspective on all aspects of the business (commercial, finance, supply chain, ...)
· Ability to synthesize market and customer feedback; comfortable with making tradeoffs
· Proven ability to work within large organizations, collaborating across teams & functions to achieve shared goals
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
Education qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar technical engineering field
