We are looking for a highly skilled editor to oversee short-form video content for Simon Squibb's social channels. This role is ideal for someone with exceptional editing ability, strong storytelling instincts, and the drive to lead creative output that inspires millions. While the primary focus is short-form, the right candidate will also support the long-form department where needed and contribute value across all content formats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit short-form video content (Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) to an exceptional standard with strong attention to pacing, structure, and emotional impact.
  • Maintain and evolve a consistent editing style that aligns with the Simon Squibb brand identity and tone.
  • Manage the full post-production pipeline, from ingesting footage to organising assets and delivering content on time.
  • Oversee editing standards, quality control, and workflow efficiency across the team.
  • Mentor and support junior editors and freelancers to maintain brand consistency and creative excellence.
  • Collaborate with producers, videographers, and the wider creative team to develop storytelling strategies and visual approaches.
  • Contribute ideas to concept development, testing new content formats, and identifying emerging trends in social-first storytelling.
  • Provide feedback on how editing choices can enhance Simon's message, mission, and overall brand growth.
  • Offer support and creative input to the long-form video team when required, ensuring consistency and shared learning across both departments.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a short-form editor, or similar role in digital media, social content, or entertainment.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (essential) and strong skills in After Effects.
  • Deep understanding of storytelling, pacing, and emotional flow in short-form video.
  • Ability to adapt skills to long-form content and provide cross-departmental support when needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality content under tight deadlines and high-output conditions.
  • Experience managing post-production processes including file organisation and workflow optimisation.
  • Strong creative sense of visual style, rhythm, and social-native storytelling.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with content management tools such as Asana and collaborative creative workflows.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Passion for social media, storytelling, and purpose-driven content.
