Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth handling, storage, and distribution of goods. Duties

  • Loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts
  • Managing stock levels through accurate stocking, picking, and packing of items
  • Handling materials safely and efficiently, ensuring proper storage procedures are followed
  • Assisting with shipping and receiving tasks, including preparing items for dispatch and receipt
  • Conducting routine maintenance checks on mechanical equipment and reporting any issues
  • Organising the warehouse space to optimise workflow and safety standards
  • Supporting construction or refurbishment activities within the warehouse as required
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations during all operations

Skills

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, including stock management and materials handling
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery (certification preferred)
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as WMS or AS400 software
  • Mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading, unloading, or stock movement
  • Experience in picking & packing orders accurately for shipping purposes
  • Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures to ensure timely dispatches and deliveries
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in inventory control
  • Physical stamina to work in a demanding environment requiring prolonged standing and manual handling
