Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to materials handling, shipping and receiving, and inventory management. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and managing stock.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
  • Engage in picking and packing orders accurately for dispatch.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse space.
  • Perform stocking duties to ensure shelves are adequately filled with products.
  • Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Engage in heavy lifting as required, handling loads safely to prevent injury.
  • Load and unload goods from lorries or containers as necessary.

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts; certification is an advantage.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is beneficial.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance when needed.
  • Ability to perform quality control checks effectively.
  • Capacity for heavy lifting, with the ability to lift items weighing up to 25 kg consistently.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
