Based at: Colonnades House, Duke Street, Doncaster, DN1 1ER
Salary details: Grade 3, £12.65 per hour
Hours: Casual, as and when required

We have an opportunity for you. A Care Experienced Young Advisor plays a key role in ensuring that the voices of children and young people in care are influencing and improving children's social care planning, decision making and development of services within Doncaster's Children, Young People and Families Directorate.
Duties include:
- Working with voice groups and partners to improve their services for care experienced young people.
- Planning and undertaking consultations and surveys with other care experienced young people.
- Co-designing and delivering the Hear Me… telling it like it is training alongside other care experienced young people
- Reviewing documents to remove jargon and ensuring they are easy for young people to understand.
- Delivering presentations at various meetings to senior leaders, directors and cabinet members including regular attendance at the Corporate Parenting Board.
- Attending the All-Party Parliamentary Groups for Care Experienced Children and Care Leavers
- Attending various meetings to champion the voice of children and young people.
- Supporting the delivery of projects and both local and national campaigns.
- Raising the profile of Care Experienced Young Advisors and promote the work of the Hear Me Voice Groups by utilising various social media platforms.
- Supporting the delivery of activities and sessions for care experienced young people
- Supporting the recruitment and selection process of social care staff by taking part and supporting other care experienced young people to take part in interviews.
