We are seeking a
Senior Portfolio Manager
to manage the end-to-end beverage innovation process across Starbucks EMEA. Acting as the hub between senior leaders, category teams and cross-functional partners, you will ensure innovation moves efficiently through the stage-gate process, delivering profitable growth and exceptional consumer experiences.

What You Will Do
Stage-Gate Leadership and Governance

  • Lead and manage the stage-gate process for beverage innovation, ensuring consistency, rigour and strategic alignment.
  • Facilitate meetings with senior leaders and drive timely go/no-go decisions with clear documentation and risk assessments.
  • Maintain governance standards and continuously improve tools, templates and workflows.
  • Own innovation guardrails for local market line extensions and assess concepts for readiness.
  • Deliver end-to-end outcomes including sales, margin, brand perception and speed-to-market.

Communication and Senior Leadership Engagement

  • Build strong relationships to influence decision-making and secure buy-in for key initiatives.
  • Resolve cross-functional barriers and ensure smooth progression through the innovation pipeline.
  • Communicate decisions and next steps clearly across the business.

Innovation Testing and Squad Leadership

  • Act as Product Champion for a cross-functional squad, designing and evaluating tests of new platforms in key markets.
  • Empower teams with clarity and resources, fostering collaboration across Marketing, Supply Chain and Beverage Development.
  • Partner with insights and commercial teams to define success criteria and recommend scale-up or refinement.

What You Will Bring

  • 10+ years in food and beverage or consumer goods with experience in portfolio leadership and innovation management.
  • Expertise in stage-gate frameworks, risk assessment and governance processes.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills in a global, matrixed organisation.
  • Commercial acumen to evaluate business cases and balance consumer value, feasibility and profitability.
  • Programme or project management experience highly desirable.
