Little Lodge is looking for a full time, Level 3 qualified room leader to join our team. Situated on Binswood Avenue and part of Arnold Lodge School, this is an exciting opportunity for a high-quality practitioner to be part of a wonderful Nursery setting.
Our Nursery
Little Lodge is a full time Day Nursery that educates children from 0 to 4 years old within an environment that places the happiness and confidence of children at the heart of our ethos. Arnold Lodge School has recently acquired the nursery and opened "Little Lodge" and we are excited for the future to help create the most wonderful nursery we can.
We know that happiness and self-assurance are central to children's development. When pupils are happy and confident, they are able to make outstanding progress in all areas.
As part of Arnold Lodge School, Little Lodge shares the school ethos & values, the school facilities as well as the specialist teachers in order to enrich the children's experience. In keeping with the values of Little Lodge, as our children grow, we hope to nurture them to be kind, honest and hard working.
Hours of Appointment
This is a full time, full year position for 40 hours. The successful candidate, in discussion with the Manager, will be able to consider the shift rotation and how this works over the week.

What you'll be doing
- As a room Lead, you will lead your team to deliver the highest standards for the children in your care
- Ensure the learning environment meets the highest standards and so that the space provides opportunities for the children to learn and develop (both inside and out).
- Lead your team to plan, deliver and provide wonderful learning opportunities and exceptional pastoral care to help each child develop and grow, meeting their own potential
- Establish strong relationships with colleagues, children and their families in order to facilitate each child meeting their own potential to the highest standard
- Ensure the welfare of the child, their health and safety and safeguarding are of the highest standards
- Lead colleagues in an environment that reflects the ethos of Little Lodge…one that is happy, safe and allows everyone to approach their day with confidence
- Lead colleagues in representing the values of Little Lodge by working hard, being kind and honest.
What we're looking for
- Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
- Previous experience working within an Early Years setting
- Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
- Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
