Junior Technical Project Manager

Position Overview

As a Junior Technical Project Manager (Client-Facing), you'll be instrumental in delivering maritime autonomy projects from proposal to deployment. You'll work cross-functionally with sales, software development, and operations teams to translate client goals into actionable plans and ensure smooth execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, understanding their needs and maintaining clear, proactive communication.
  • Lead scheduling, track timelines, monitor budgets, identify and mitigate risks, and manage change to ensure projects remain on track.
  • Work closely with engineering leads to allocate and manage project resources effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to interpret contracts and proposals into clear Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs).
  • Work with the Software Development team to translate FRDs into detailed Software Requirements Specifications (SRS).
  • Draft, update, and maintain trials documentation, including test protocols, risk assessments, and compliance verification.
  • Foster close collaboration among Sales, Engineering, QA, and Operations teams to ensure aligned objectives, transparency, and high-quality deliverables, Qualifications

Required:

· 1–3 years of project management experience, preferably in engineering or marine environments.

· Experience with client-facing roles and cross-functional team coordination.

· Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

· Familiarity with generating FRDs and SRS documents.

· Ability to manage schedules, budgets, priorities, and documentation workflows.

Preferred:

· Exposure to software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall and RAD).

· Background or interest in maritime, robotics, AI, or autonomy domains.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £36,180.48-£42,000.00 per year
