Bristol, Bristol, United Kingdom Bristol City Council Full time

Full Time, Fixed-Term for 12 months.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate, creative and driven communicator seeking to develop their professional and personal skills and contribute directly to the management of the Policy, Strategy and Communications team.

As a Community Campaigns and Engagement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the Campaigns and Marketing team's strategic goals, contributing to one of the council's critical priorities: fostering effective community cohesion through impactful communications, campaigns, and hyperlocal engagement across Bristol's diverse communities.

You will lead and manage a project spanning a number of council services, providing clear direction, advice, and support to ensure the successful delivery of campaigns and engagement activities. This includes overseeing the planning and execution of community-focused initiatives, ensuring they are inclusive, accessible, and resonate with local audiences.

Working closely with council leadership, both political and corporate, and collaborating with key external stakeholders, you will strengthen relationships and enhance the council's reputation within Bristol's communities. You will act as a trusted advisor, offering high-quality professional guidance on engagement strategies and campaign delivery.

Your role will involve producing compelling content for online and offline channels, demonstrating excellent writing skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. You'll be highly organised and adaptable, managing multiple projects with competing priorities. A key part of your work will be leading on monitoring and evaluating the impact of campaigns and engagement activities, ensuring continuous improvement and learning.

With strong interpersonal skills, you will build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders (internal and external) and community partners. You will also provide leadership and support to your team, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about communications and engagement, ready to take the next step into a management role and make a real difference in strengthening community cohesion across Bristol.
