Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Stripper & Fitter (including MET, suspension, and mechanical work) to join our busy and growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for stripping, refitting, and carrying out mechanical and electrical work to ensure vehicles are repaired and reassembled to manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out suspension, steering, and mechanical repairs to a high standard.
  • Strip and refit vehicle components, including mechanical, electrical, and trim (MET) items.
  • Perform all work efficiently and safely, maintaining manufacturer and industry standards.
  • Work collaboratively with estimators, paint technicians, and other team members to ensure an efficient workflow.
  • Ensure all repair work is completed within agreed timescales and to quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Complete job cards and documentation accurately.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Stripper & Fitter or MET Technician in a bodyshop or accident repair centre.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and trim systems.
  • Experience with suspension and steering repairs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • ATA / NVQ Level 3 qualification (preferred but not essential).
