We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Practitioner to join our team in our Newport setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education for children in a nursery setting. This full-time position is over 2 days, 19hrs per week with shifts of 8am-6pm twice a week. We hope to recruit a candidate with a strong commitment to early childhood education, child development and effective communication skills. Qualifications are preferred but experience working with children in a proven professional capacity is desired, as well as a willingness to obtain a childcare qualification whilst working for us. Duties

  • Deliver outstanding care and education to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's learning and development.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering positive relationships within the nursery environment.
  • Notice, analyse and respond to children's behaviour, play and learning
  • Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of childcare services provided within the nursery.

Experience

  • A Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is required.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to promoting children's development through play-based learning.
