Job Overview

  • Position = Catering lead
  • Hourly rate = £15.00 per hour
  • Hours of work = 09:00 – to 21:00hrs
  • Roster = Four days on, Fours days off
  • Contracted hours = 40 hours per week

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Caterer to join our dynamic team. Responsible for the daily operation of the delivery of catering to the hotel residents, Management of stock, Ordering of consumable. Management of a team of Two catering operatives point of contact for all Safeguarding issues whilst on duty, manage a team of two welfare officers, ensure all documentation is completed and uploaded in a correct and timely fashion.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee food production processes to ensure quality and consistency
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance
  • Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of food items in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Collaborate with event planners to design menus that meet client needs and dietary restrictions
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Serve food at events, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for guests
  • Assist in training new staff members on culinary techniques and kitchen protocols

Experience

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and catering within a restaurant or hotel environment
  • Supervising experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
  • Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service roles is highly desirable
  • Barista experience is a plus, enhancing the overall service offering at events
