Product Governance Lead
in our
Underwriting Governance
team in our UK business and we are considering both
Contract
and
Permanent
staff.

Our Underwriting Governance team sit within the CUO Office and provide oversight of our Underwriting function in areas such as Controls, Exposure Management, and Delegated Authority.

This position will be based out of our
London

Our Business, Your Impact, Our Opportunity
What you'll be doing:

  • This role will be responsible for leading and managing compliance to Product Governance across Sompo UK to ensure compliance to the FCA rules and ensure there are good Customer Outcomes, and that the products in scope provide Fair Value
  • Manage Sompo's existing Product List and Groupings, and our product approval process, including management of the Product Oversight Group
  • Work with Underwriters and other functions to develop a suite of MI and reporting for Policy and Claims data across both our Open Market and Delegated Authority accounts
  • Develop comprehensive KPIs to monitor Customer Outcomes and Fair Value to be reported to Conduct Committee
  • Conduct Annual Product Reviews to ensure our products meet Customer needs and offer Fair Value
  • Monitoring of FCA changes and reviews to ensure process remains fit for purpose

What You'll Bring

  • Proven Experience and Knowledge: 5+ years insurance industry experience within Product Governance with an ability to leverage extensive experience and understanding of the insurance sector to offer insights and drive informed decision-making
  • Analytical Mindset: Apply strong analytical skills to interpret data and trends, supporting strategic initiatives and business objectives
  • Problem-Solving Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in identifying challenges and developing practical solutions to drive business success
  • Commitment to Excellence: Maintain a high standard of work quality and strive for excellence in all aspects of the role
  • Exceptional People Skills: Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, facilitating effective communication and collaboration
