Early Years Educator – Level 3 (Full-Time)
Location: Halliwell Area
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Hours: Part time hours with an increase to full time (16 hours-34 hours)
Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Early Years Educator Level 3 to join our warm and welcoming nursery team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about early childhood development and committed to creating a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment for children to thrive.
As a Level 3 Educator, you will play a key role in supporting each child's learning journey through creative play-based learning, building strong relationships with families, and contributing to a high-quality curriculum that fosters independence, confidence, and holistic development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and implement exciting and age-appropriate activities that support children's learning through play.
- Observe, assess, and track children's progress in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children and families.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, learning journals, and daily logs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates on progress and wellbeing.
- Ensure the nursery complies with health & safety, food hygiene, safeguarding, and all regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and support junior staff members, sharing best practices and contributing to staff development.
- Work collaboratively with the team to plan and review curriculum activities and routines.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Level 3 Qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (or equivalent).
- Proven experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
- Up-to-date training in Safeguarding, First Aid, and Food Hygiene (or willingness to complete prior to starting).
- Excellent understanding of EYFS and early childhood development.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Warm, caring, and enthusiastic personality with a genuine love for working with young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (advantageous for outings or staff cover).
- Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and experience preparing for inspections.
- Additional certifications in SEND, Sign Along, or other relevant areas are a bonus.
