We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Audit & Accounts Manager
to join our growing practice in
Luton
. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of clients, deliver high-quality audit and accounts services, and lead a dynamic team - all within a supportive firm environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely completion of financial statements and tax returns, while maintaining profitability.
  • Prepare and review accounts for sole traders, partnerships, charities, and limited companies in line with accounting standards.
  • Lead and execute audits, including reviewing working papers, internal controls, and financial statements for partner sign-off.
  • Attend client meetings and develop strong, long-term relationships.
  • Oversee workflow across the team, allocating tasks, reviewing outputs, and supporting staff development.
  • Monitor budgets and deadlines, ensuring delivery within time and cost expectations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff, supporting their professional growth.
  • Assist with complex VAT, corporation tax, and personal tax compliance and advisory.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 3 years' experience in practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge in both audit and accounts.
  • Previous experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial insights clearly.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to travel to client premises across Luton and the surrounding area as required.
