About the Role:

We are currently looking for an experienced Yard Operative to work in a busy Plant and Machinery Sales Yard.

Duties will include:

  • Communicate with your line manager to prioritize and manage the workload
  • To ensure the machine stock yard and workshops are kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Valeting new and used machines for display in the stock yard and prior to delivery
  • To oversee all machine movements in and out of the yard and ensure they are carried out in a safe and orderly manner, with all documentation completed as required
  • Assist the workshop and parts department staff as required
  • Carry out all duties in a safe and responsible manner and continually contribute towards the improvements of Health and Safety within the workplace
  • To maintain a high level of housekeeping in line with Company standards
  • To carry out such other duties which are consistent with the nature and responsibilities of the job role
  • To be actively involved in all aspects of Health and Safety including daily, weekly, and monthly checks

About You:

A good general all round experienced Yard Operative with the ability to operate construction machinery or other large vehicles is preferred. We are looking for someone who takes pride in what they do and is willing to take ownership of the yard and stock upkeep. Having a degree of mechanical experience would be beneficial.

We are looking for someone with the following skills:

  • Have relevant experience relating to working in a Plant and Machinery Yard
  • Be methodical and display good attention to details
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative
  • Be reliable and have a flexible proactive approach to the task at hand
  • Full driving license
  • Maintain and contribute to company health and safety standards
  • A positive attitude with the ability to work through and solve problems.

About Us:

Founded in 1994 Cautrac is now one of the largest Wacker Neuson Dealers in the UK, as well as the importer and distributor for Morooka Tracked Dumpers. We buy and sell all kinds of new and used construction machinery both in the UK and around the world. We hold a significant stock of machines and spare parts operating across two depots.
