Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education.
The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the bar high in their highly complex market
Vacancy Details
In the Production Operative position you will sort materials and organise internal movements from one place to another, ensuring the factory is fed materials, goods in and out, using Ficep machines.
We are looking for someone who is able to organise and maintain the goods in and dispatch areas and liaising with team leaders to organise the movement of materials. You will also be responsible for marking up materials on arrival and passing the location information onto production control, and also loading the finished items onto trailers for dispatch.
To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent understanding of Health and Safety policies, and be responsible for pre-use safety checks on machines, cranes, and mobile plant.
You will need to have 2 years' experience in a manufacturing background, ideally a logistical background. Excellent organisational and communication skills are required.
