Community Eating Disorder Support Worker

An exciting opportunity to recruit a Community Support Worker has arisen within the MFT Community Eating Disorder Service (MFT CEDS).

MFTCEDS is a busy specialist CAMHS team for children and young people with Eating Disorders in Manchester, Salford and Trafford. We are a multi-disciplinary team of specialist and advanced clinical practitioners, dietitians, family therapists, support workers and psychiatrists who pride ourselves on our reputation of delivering high quality, specialist and effective care to our families.
The post holder will be required to travel across the MFT footprint, incuding to patient's homes. They will be expected to support assessments, admissions and facilitate groups.
To provide intensive and specialist treatment to young people and their families under MFTCEDS - including home meal supervision,
To support young people develop independence as part of their recovery.
To facilitate groups to young people and parents
To provide 1:1 sessions with young people to promote recovery, overseen by case manager.
This is a clinical role within the community, and as such will require the ability to commute from clinic to patients home, or school, or hospital.
