Overview

We are seeking a Mechanic / Mobile Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various hand and power tools. In this role you will play a crucial role in assembling, installing, and maintaining equipment and machinery. This position requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and the capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and fit components according to specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Use hand tools and power tools effectively to perform tasks.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a fitter or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings.
  • Experience with heavy lifting is essential; candidates should be physically fit for the demands of the role.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively is required.
  • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and attention to detail is essential for success in this position.

Pay: £31,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
