Occupational Therapist Practice Lead Manager
Are you passionate about making a positive and lasting difference for the people of Hull? Are you looking for a new challenge as an Occupational Therapist in a leadership role? Then join our evolving Adult Social Care Occupational Therapy workforce.
Due to retirement, we are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist for a grade 10, Occupational Therapy Practice Lead Manager to add to our team.
If you are an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist (Band 6 or 7 equivalent) then we have an opportunity for you. The role is to be a highly specialist clinician, supporting other staff by creating the right conditions for them to be able to work to their maximum potential, and providing day to day operational oversight.
You will deputise for the Operational Manager as appropriate. Alongside this as a clinical specialist you may hold a small clinical caseload, support in high level clinical decision making, undertaking of quality audits, and chairing team meetings. This role will work closely with the two existing Occupational Therapy Practice Lead Managers, and the Operational Manager.
We have a range of opportunities for professional development and progression of your Leadership Skills and your clinical expertise, as well as the ability to be involved with research through the Curiosity Partnership.
In Hull, Occupational Therapy is a vital function of Adult Social Care, ensuring that individuals can maintain their independence and live life to the fullest in their own homes. We are currently in an exciting time going through a period of service improvement, which will give you the opportunity to have a strong voice in how the service is shaped moving forwards.
The role will support a trauma informed approach within the team and rights based inclusive practice. To support use of solution focussed conversations, and goal setting with people as part of a proportionate assessment process.
As a valued leader, you will be providing supervision and clinical oversight to other registered and unregistered staff. You will contribute and lead on service development, policy and process for Occupational Therapy and ensure OT is embedded within the wider Social Care offer.
This post is based within our Prevention Services including Active Recovery, our 6 week reablement service and See and Solve, where all initial referrals are received. You will be supporting staff in their day to day work including triage, assessment, moving and handling, minor and major adaptations and equipment provision.
