Data Analyst – Capital Appropriations

Location: Chester – hybrid working policy

Pay: £27/hour PAYE

Contract length: 12 months duration

Job Summary:

The Capital Appropriations Analyst is responsible for providing operational and financial support, focusing on the management of capital appropriation requests and asset processes. This role involves tracking actuals versus projections, facilitating efficient payment processes, overseeing asset creation and capitalization, and resolving invoice disputes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:


• Track and manage capital appropriation requests to ensure timely approvals and accurate recordkeeping.


• Monitor actual expenditures versus projections to support effective budget control.


• Pursue outstanding payments and ensure timely settlement of financial commitments.


• Oversee the creation of new assets for financial reporting and operational tracking purposes.


• Facilitate the capitalization of assets in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.


• Follow up on invoice disputes, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure resolution through to completion.


• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all workflows, transactions, and correspondence.


• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams to enhance processes and resolve issues promptly.

Requirements:


• Relevant experience in finance, accounting, asset management, or a related field.


• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.


• Ability to navigate ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP) is preferred.


• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
