Due to continued growth and expansion Nella Cutlery Services is looking for a Warehouse Operative to start in a full time role at our Dunstable branch as soon as possible.

You will take on the role of a Sharpener / Grinder and be taught the skills needed to professionally sharpen knives on an industrial sharpening machine.

This role will suit someone with previous experience working in a warehouse or factory as well as those looking to take on a physical role within a busy warehouse environment.

The company provides a bespoke specialist knife sharpening service and we have just celebrated 120 years of operation. Our business goal is simple - to provide our customers with high quality sharpened knives, brilliant catering equipment and unparalleled levels of service.

Title: Warehouse Operative

Location: 3 Arianna, Business Centre, Blackburn Rd, Houghton Regis LU5 5DZ

Salary: £30, £13.00 p/h) with a performance bonus of up to £180.00 p/w (OTE: £39,780) *Dependant upon role and skillset.

A £45 p/w attendance bonus will be awarded during your training period, you should then be in a position to achieve your regular performance bonus.

Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 7am-4:30pm.

Primary responsibility:

  • Sharpen & grind knives to the highest standard
  • Basic maintenance of your work station

Other duties may include:

  • Picking and packing orders
  • Unpacking and storing incoming goods
  • Wrapping pallets
  • Help operate further factory machinery when required

Who we're looking for:

  • Experience of working within a warehouse environment is beneficial but not a necessity
  • A proven track record in working efficiently and accurately with a high level of attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills

This is a very varied and active role and not for those who are unable to cope with the physical demands of the job. You will be part of a great team and assisting various members of staff and departments.
