Role Overview

The Senior Software Developer will lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced software systems and applications. You will play a key role in shaping technical decisions, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to architectural discussions that influence the long-term direction of our technology stack. The role demands a strong balance of hands-on coding, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust software solutions in line with business and client requirements.
• Take ownership of full software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities, from planning and architecture to deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, business analysts, and other developers to define technical specifications and deliverables.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and design patterns.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and version control processes.
• Identify and address system bottlenecks, security risks, and performance issues.
• Implement integrations with third-party systems and APIs.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to ensure the company remains at the forefront of innovation.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Contribute to system documentation, deployment guides, and user support materials.

Technical Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript ).
• Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL) and ORM frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Practical experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing frameworks.
• Solid grasp of software design principles, including OOP, SOLID, and agile methodologies.
• Experience working with enterprise-level or large-scale applications is highly desirable.
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
