Job Description

We're currently offering a 12-month Fixed Term Contract for a Business Development Executive to join our client within the insurance sector. This exciting opportunity allows you to work on a hybrid basis, with occasional travel to the office in York for training and meetings.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £32,000, with the potential to earn up to 50% of their annual salary in bonus over the course of the year. You will play a crucial role in developing new business, driving revenue, and building strong client relationships across a designated geographic region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively contribute to departmental sales targets by meeting personal quarterly goals.
  • Conduct thorough fact-finding to understand client needs and present appropriate solutions.
  • Manage your sales pipeline using the CRM system, ensuring all client interactions are accurately recorded.
  • Build and develop long-term relationships with clients, handing over accounts to the Account Management team for continued growth and retention.
  • Utilise marketing tools, research, and market intelligence to target potential clients.
  • Maximise sales opportunities through networking, social media, exhibitions, trade shows, and worksite events.
  • Work collaboratively with your line manager and team, sharing best practices and contributing to overall team success.
  • Complete 15 hours of CPD annually and stay updated with all e-learning and B2B processes.

Skills and Experience:

  • 2-3 years' experience in a B2B sales environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and delivering results.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and objection-handling skills.
  • Highly motivated, resilient, and self-driven to exceed targets.
  • Comfortable sourcing leads, building relationships, and using a consultative approach to sales.
  • Familiarity with working in a regulated environment is advantageous.

Accountability:

  • Achieve sales targets and pass quality assurance audits.
  • Complete face-to-face appointments and participate in dual calling sessions with your line manager.
  • Follow B2B processes and contribute ideas, market intelligence, and experience during team meetings.
  • Ensure work delivers positive outcomes for current and future clients.

Additional Information:

  • This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract with a salary of £32,000.
  • The role offers the opportunity to earn up to 50% of your annual salary in bonus.
  • This role offers hybrid working; candidates must be aware that training and induction are held at the York office.
  • Candidates located within the Yorkshire area will have hybrid working and will not receive a home-based contract.
