Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials including 2-30mm Thick Steel. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. The successful applicant will be responsible for welding components and ensuring that all products meet our stringent quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on various materials, ensuring precision and quality in all welds
  • Utilise TIG welding techniques when necessary to achieve specific project requirements
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for fabrication tasks
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to understand project requirements
  • Assemble components according to engineering specifications, maintaining accuracy throughout the process
  • Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control measures
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations

Experience

  • Proven experience in MIG welding; additional experience in TIG welding is advantageous
  • Familiarity with local welding standards and practices specific to
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment related to fabrication processes
  • Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks
  • Experience working with sheet metal is preferred, along with a solid understanding of assembly processes
