Utopian Professional Recruitment aredelighted to be appointed to work in partnership with an incredible client who islooking to recruit a dedicated Trust Accountant to join their Tax &Succession team on a full time, permanent basis. Your main responsibilities willinclude: • Prepareand co -ordinate accounts for trusts, executries and charities from inception tocompletion and assist where appropriate the Tax & Succession legal teams inthe administration of trusts and charities.• Youwill audit, edit and undertake the comparison of all types of trust accounts,including all related tasks involved in accounts preparation and finalisation.• Asa Trust Accountant, you will determine the correct opening balances fromprevious year's figures and collate information necessary to prepare theaccounts from all available sources.• Youwill reconcile the Trust cash accounting and the Investment register and liaisewith the Tax team to establish tax retentions and reconcile the Trust taxposition, so far as relevant, to the periodic accounting work required.• TheTrust Accounting team liaises closely with their Tax & Succession legal/taxteams, external investment managers and external tax advisors regarding theprocedures for dealing with periodic accounting requirements for trusts,executries and charities.• Youwill ideally be able to work with minimal supervision in the preparation ofperiodic accounts, with high attention to detail and accuracy. • Therole can be expanded to provide additional administration support for largertrust and charity clients, and work with Tax & Succession legal teams tostreamline the ongoing administration of these clients. To be considered for thisopportunity we are looking for the following background / experience:• Thisis the ideal role for an individual with strong knowledge of legal accountancy,particularly in relation to trusts and executries.  Training can be provided on accounting forcharitable trusts. • Theability to work directly and professionally with clients and colleagues of alllevels is required.• Strongorganisation and communication skills will be essential as is experience usingMicrosoft Office packages, particularly Excel. • Fulltraining will be given on other platforms which are used in the business.  • Youwill have a continuous improvement mindset and a keen interest in usingbusiness systems to improve the efficiency of accounting and reportingprocesses.• Experienceworking in a similar role within professional services is desirable.• Ahigh level of discretion and confidentiality is a requirement of this role, asyou will be exposed to sensitive client data and financial information. Reward:· Hoursof Work – Monday to Friday 9 -5pm (33.75hrs per week)· Thisrole will initially be office based but our client does support hybrid workingonce fully trained· FullTime, permanent contract· Salary– Excellent and will be discussed at time of application· Generousholiday allowance· Pension· Inbetween Christmas and NY office closure Next Steps: For further information, pleaseapply by emailing your CV to Utopian Professional Recruitment ASAP. To keep up to date with currentopportunities be sure to follow the Utopian Professional Recruitment page onLinkedIn, Instagram & Facebook Whilst Utopian ProfessionalRecruitment strives to get in touch with all our applicants, it is not alwayspossible.
