Content Marketing Executive

We're looking for a Content Marketing Executive to join our team

Working with our Marketing Manager, your mission will be to develop, create, and share dynamic, scroll-stopping content across digital platforms for both Browns Distribution and our online division, PalletOnline.

The Marketing team plays a big part in life at Browns – we get involved in just about everything. From supporting commercial activity, to internal PR and company events, our work reaches right across the business. We're here to help win business, communicate with our customers, celebrate the great things our team achieves, and be proud advocates for the logistics industry. We've got big ambitions for the future. Not only do we want to be the go-to logistics provider in Staffordshire, but Nationwide.

Your responsibilities

Now that you've got a feel for the role, here's what your day-to-day could look like:

• Create engaging content across all our social media platforms
• Help grow our social media following and brand reach
• Build meaningful relationships with customers, prospects, and stakeholders
• Get involved in social conversations and topics that matter to our industry
• Contribute to email marketing campaigns and automation journeys
• Help measure and report on social media performance
• Keep up with trends and share fresh ideas for new content
• Design thumbnails and supporting graphics for posts and videos
• Play a key role in creating and growing our TikTok presence
• Work with internal departments (like Sales and Customer Support) to gather stories, case studies, and content ideas
• Help manage and organise content calendars and posting schedules
• Ideate, create and upload industry-related blogs and articles to our website
• Support the delivery of our Marketing Strategy
• Support with other digital and traditional marketing activity, internal relations and events

About you

You'll be a real team player who's eager to learn and grow, while managing a busy, changing workload. We're after someone energetic and creative — full of ideas, confident in sharing them, and ready to take on new challenges with enthusiasm and initiative. Above all, we want someone who'll match our team's energy and embrace our culture.

As our ideal Content Marketing Executive, you'll have…

• 1-2 years' experience in a social media or marketing role
• Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook)
• Some digital design ability (Adobe or Canva) or a willingness to learn
• Great spelling and grammar skills
• A willingness to learn new things
• Creativity, imagination and initiative

Although not essential, it's a real bonus if you've got…

• Experience with email marketing platforms (like Mailchimp, Brevo, etc.)
• Experience or an interest in AI tools such as ChatGPT or Gemini
• Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
