Purchase Ledger Clerk - 3 Month FTC

We're hiring a Purchase Ledger Clerk on a 3-month FTC to keep our payables sharp and reliable. You'll handle invoice processing, supplier queries, and reconciliations, keeping things moving across 18 global entities. You'll also support the rollout of our new AP automation system and help spot simple ways to speed things up without losing accuracy. This role may lead to a permanent Part-time opportunity for the right candidate.

How you will make an impact:

  • Assist in the implementation and rollout of a global Accounts Payable automation system.

  • Post and process purchase invoices in the finance system, ensuring they are correctly approved and comply with the 3-way match process.

  • Manage and maintain the purchase ledger process for 18 global overseas entities, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve invoice queries, discrepancies, and payment issues.

  • Support month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations of supplier accounts.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with company policies and local regulations.

  • Assist with ad-hoc finance projects and tasks as required by the Finance team.

About you

  • Proven experience in a purchase ledger/accounts payable role, ideally within a multinational or multi-entity environment.

  • Strong understanding of invoice processing, purchase orders, and 3-way match procedures.

  • Experience or willingness to assist with finance system implementations, preferably AP automation systems.

  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities across global entities.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with finance or ERP systems is desirable.
