PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £110,000 - £130,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Purpose of the Role
Join BBC Creative – the BBC's award-winning in-house creative agency as a Head of Planning. You'll lead a talented planning team to make sense of a dynamic market and changing audience behaviours, ensuring our work keeps the BBC strong and relevant. As part of the management team, you'll help shape the agency's culture and talent to deliver world-class creative work.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
- Play a key leadership role as part of BBC Creative's management team.
- Lead a team of planners to develop brand strategies for the BBC and key content brands.
- Contribute to brand and marketing strategies, influencing the BBC's annual Marketing Plan.
- Ensure audience understanding is embedded in strategies and campaigns.
- Bring cultural insight to shape campaigns that impact UK culture.
- Collaborate with the ECD and creative teams to deliver outstanding, effective campaigns
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Experienced in developing effective strategies and brand platforms.
- Creatively driven with ambition to deliver outstanding work.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
- Self-starting and proactive, always seeking opportunities.
- Experience or aptitude for leading and managing a team, with a track record of building senior stakeholder relationships.
- Additional experience in cultural insight and audience research.
