SMBF - Production Management (also known as Production Support- SMBF Technology) is an organisation with more than 5,000 employees and contract workers.  The Business Execution team is responsible for the group's ongoing planning, administrative and organisational development activities.  These include management of the Financials, Headcount, Real Estate and Vendor Management Planning Processes, as well as providing ongoing support to the Production Management Leadership Team.

We are looking for a Senior Business Unit Manager to join the Production Management Business Execution Team and provide global business management support to one of our Tech Production Support portfolios, as well as being a key Business Execution Team resource supporting the Production Support Management Office.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resource Management: Working with Senior Management, Recruiting, Finance and Vendor Management to understand and track headcount, identify trends and resolve issues as they emerge in addition to ensuring, accuracy in reporting, onboarding and termination of resources

  • Manage financial reporting, monthly analysis and forecasting activities, client chargebacks, payments, as well as accruals, and the yearly budgeting process including program and project level forecasting analysis, in addition to ad hoc requests

  • Serve as a business partner to Finance, Human Resources, Vendor Management and the Technology Staffing Office

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Technology PM Line of Business (LOB)

  • Promote process improvement in all areas involved; Create and maintain process standards/ methodologies and best practices. Identify automation/efficiency opportunities where possible

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

  • Advance organization/people strategy goals including communications strategy, talent strategy, and employee engagement initiatives

  • Manage LOB strategic cost reduction, investment and location strategic initiatives

  • Participate in and providing support for significant Operations ad-hoc projects and Production Support initiatives

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Relevant experience in Financial Services role, preferably in a Finance, Business Execution Office, Chief of Staff or CAO Role.

  • Headcount and financial forecasting experience

  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and Power Point

  • Excellent analytical and data mining skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • A good team player with a proactive, flexible, enthusiastic and can-do approach

  • Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative

  • Ability to manage deliverables within aggressive timeframes; ability to cope under time pressures

  • Experience with databases and information management Advanced Microsoft office skills including demonstrated capabilities with Excel pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, and other formulas

  • Knowledge of Citi systems (PTS and ) a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master's degree preferred but not essential
