Job Description

Mini Handball Poole looks to provide all children with the opportunity to play handball at an afterschool provision. We are looking for coaches to come into schools in the Poole area and provide this.

The ideal candidate would be qualified in a Level 1 sports coaching qualification and/ or degree in a relvant subject. It would be ideal if the candidate was located withing the Bournemouth/Poole area and had a DBS or be on the update service. You will also require a First Aid qualification however if you do not have, we can set you up the training for it.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create fun and safe environments for learning.
  • Use positive methods of teaching to engage students.
  • Communicate clearly with parents and guardians.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children.
  • Being adaptable, approachable and engaging with the children.
  • Up to date DBS.
  • Understanding of handball.
  • Passion for teaching and learning.
  • Ability to work with a team of coaches and teachers.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with parents, students, and other coachees.
  • First aid course (preferred)
  • Driving licecne (required)
  • A level or equivalent (preferred)

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: £20.00 per hour
