We are delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our thriving Design and Technology Department as a Design and Technology Teacher (Textiles). About the Role

As a Design and Technology Teacher (Textiles), you will:

  • Teach engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential progression to Key Stage 5.

  • Deliver a curriculum focused on textile design, garment construction, sustainability, and creative problem-solving.

  • Encourage students to explore materials, develop design ideas, and produce high-quality outcomes.

  • Promote the value of textiles in both traditional and contemporary contexts.

  • Work collaboratively with other Design and Technology Teachers (Textiles) to support curriculum development.

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment for learners of all abilities.

  • Take part in enrichment activities such as fashion clubs, exhibitions, or competitions.

What We're Looking For

  • Understands the importance of inclusive, engaging lesson planning as a Design and Technology Teacher (Textiles).

  • Demonstrates strong classroom presence, organisation, and communication skills.
