Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching, with the ability to engage students in their learning journey. This role involves mentoring students, delivering lessons in various subjects including Biochemistry and Mathematics, and providing support for both general and special education needs. The successful applicant will foster a positive learning environment while effectively managing classroom behaviour.

This position is for design and technology teacher start January 2026 but it's not for food technology

Duties

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Provide one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to support student understanding and progress.
  • Conduct laboratory sessions, ensuring safety protocols are followed while facilitating scientific research activities.
  • Assess student performance through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and behaviour management strategies.
  • Proofread educational materials to ensure clarity and accuracy before distribution.
  • Collaborate with other educators to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports special education needs.

Qualifications

  • Need teaching qualifications (QTS)
  • Proven experience in teaching or tutoring, with a strong emphasis on mentoring students.
  • Background in design and technology
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and parents.
  • Strong behaviour management skills to maintain a conducive learning environment.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual learners, including those requiring special education support.
