Overview

I'm looking for a capable and driven Corporation Tax professional to join our fast-growing, award-winning Tax Practice.

You'll manage tax affairs for a portfolio of clients while taking responsibility for your own and your colleague's professional development.

You will be joining an expanding team and your contribution will help our continued growth. You will:

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate clients' tax affairs including payments, enquiries and providing ad hoc advice.
  • Build and maintain tax relationships with clients
    including owner-managed SMEs, medium-sized and large groups
    , providing an exceptional level of client service.
  • Prepare and review computations and liaise with specialists on technical matters.
  • Support colleagues dealing with complex groups and technical issues.
  • Work with Transaction Support colleagues to provide tax input into due diligence projects.
  • Work on advisory projects.
  • Work with Accounts colleagues to prepare tax figures for annual accounts.
  • Research and understand technical matters and present them in a comprehensible and practical way.
  • Develop own and colleagues' professional abilities.

Responsibilities

Relationships
- You will build and maintain relationships with clients, internal customers, tax team colleagues and other stakeholders.

Advisory
- You will provide practical and high quality tax advice to corporate clients. You will project manage specialist advisory projects. You will provide tax- technical support to colleagues working on M&A projects, compliance projects and audits as well as on an ad hoc basis.

Development and Capability
- You will be supported to develop your own professional capabilities. You will also take responsibility for upskilling colleagues, including coaching less experienced team members.

Management
- You will oversee the tax affairs of a portfolio of corporate clients. You will contribute to effective management of the team, with input into people management and process improvements.

Qualifications

Ideally, you will have ACCA/ACA, CTA, ADIT, or an equivalent qualification, including HMRC's full technical training. An exceptional individual with significant relevant experience may also be considered.

The ability to communicate technical issues appropriately, to a range of stakeholders, is essential.

UK tax experience or qualification is required
