Key Accountabilities
  • Provide office-based support to brokers, helping maximise new business opportunities across the mortgage division.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with broker partners, as well as internal teams including underwriting, sales, and broker support.
  • Handle incoming calls and emails from brokers regarding new and existing loan referrals, applications, or system queries.
  • Assess complex referrals and affordability cases at an early stage, liaising with underwriting management to ensure efficient decisions.
  • Review new applications to confirm they meet packaging requirements and qualifying criteria.
  • Collect fees associated with mortgage applications.
  • Gain and maintain a strong understanding of West One's lending policy, criteria, and products.
  • Develop expertise in our broker portal and Fusion system to support brokers with technical queries.
  • Support the sales team by helping deliver training to new and existing brokers.
  • Manage and respond to enquiries from mortgage intermediaries and the public via the website.
  • Follow up with introducers on documentation, applications, and pipeline cases to keep them moving forward.
  • Update spreadsheets, manage system data, and produce accurate reports.
  • Contribute to system development, testing, and process improvements when required.

  • Previous experience in the mortgage market, with relationship management skills, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Resilient, flexible, and comfortable working to targets and deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organised, and eager to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Proactive and enthusiastic team player with a solutions-focused mindset.
