Technical Architect – Front Office Solutions (Salesforce)

Purpose of the Role

The Technical Architect for Front Office (Salesforce) is a strategic technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions. This role provides technical oversight and strategic direction for all changes and enhancements to global Front Office applications, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives, enterprise architecture, and best practices. The architect acts as a technical gatekeeper, minimizing risk and ensuring compliance with organizational standards while delivering real business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate complex business requirements into high-level technical solutions and detailed architectural designs, considering both functional and non-functional needs.
• Lead the design, enablement, and optimization of global Salesforce solutions, ensuring consistency with architectural direction and organizational objectives.
• Oversee integrations between Salesforce and external systems (e.g., ERP, data lakes) using APIs, middleware (such as MuleSoft), and ETL tools.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and administration teams (internal & 3rd parties), ensuring quality, scalability, and alignment with business needs.
• Lead the teams producing and maintain technical documentation, including LLDs, reference architectures and design documents.
• Support change and release management processes, including risk assessment and quality assurance prior to production deployment.
• P Act as a trusted advisor to executives and business stakeholders, communicating technical solutions and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Continuously evaluate new Salesforce features, releases, and AppExchange solutions to drive innovation and improve user experience.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues, supporting incident and problem management.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration with business and IT leaders, engineering teams, and external partners across regions.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• 7+ years of IT experience, with recent experience in large international organizations and at least 4 years in a dedicated Salesforce Architect or similar role.
• Extensive experience with global deployments of Salesforce Service, Sales, and Marketing solutions.
• Proven track record in architecting and delivering large-scale, global transformations involving multiple systems integration partners.
• Experience in Front Office operations and technologies from an IT perspective.
• Multiple large-scale, full lifecycle Salesforce implementations.

• Technical & Strategic Skills

• Deep expertise in Salesforce configuration, development, and solution architecture (including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, SOQL, and integration frameworks).
• Strong understanding of IT general controls, change management, release management, and compliance.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to teams, ensuring application modernization and alignment with business needs.
• Advanced facilitation, networking, and conflict resolution skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic and strategic mindset.
• Expertise in both declarative ("clicks not code") and programmatic Salesforce solutions.

• Communication & Leadership

• Excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills; able to translate complex technical solutions into business terms for stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to influence senior leadership and key business stakeholders, gaining buy-in for high-impact roadmaps and business cases.
• Strong team player with experience leading and collaborating across teams and regions.
• Highly resilient, self-motivated, and able to work independently when required.
• Strong leadership, project management, and team mentoring abilities.
• Strong business acumen to align technical solutions with business value.

• Qualifications & Certifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Professional Salesforce Architect certifications are highly valued
