Sheffield, Sheffield, United Kingdom Albany Beck Full time

About Albany Beck

Albany Beck are a Management Consultancy focused on providing specialist talent and transformative solutions to Financial Services clients. We combine subject matter expertise with innovative delivery models that help clients scale efficiently, while offering meaningful, long-term career opportunities to our people. At Albany Beck, you'll be choosing to work with an organisation that's passionate about your learning journey and committed to your professional career and personal development.

Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on and technically proficient Production & Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) function within Financial Services. This role is critical to ensuring the stability, performance, and resilience of systems supporting the end-to-end client lifecycle — from onboarding and due diligence to servicing and offboarding.

The successful candidate will have experience working in high-pressure production environments, with the ability to navigate complex infrastructure landscapes, manage competing priorities, and influence both technology and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical production and infrastructure support across Client Lifecycle Management platforms and related systems.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal business disruption.
  • Collaborate with engineering, application support, and infrastructure teams to maintain system reliability and performance.
  • Manage and prioritize workload, effectively pushing back and escalating where necessary to balance operational demands.
  • Partner with delivery teams to implement strategic improvements to production processes and service stability.
  • Support client onboarding, servicing, and customer due diligence (CDD) systems within the CLM value stream.
  • Maintain documentation, operational procedures, and environment configurations.
  • Contribute to infrastructure strategy discussions and help define best practices for scalability and resilience.
  • Participate in change management, release cycles, and incident reviews to drive continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a production support or infrastructure support role within financial services or a similar regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of Client Lifecycle Management (CLM), client onboarding, and customer due diligence (CDD) processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex infrastructure and troubleshoot technical issues across multiple systems.
  • Solid technical background with hands-on experience in one or more of the following:
  • Application servers, databases, and messaging platforms
  • Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell) or automation tools
  • Monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — capable of pushing back, negotiating, and prioritizing effectively.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.
