We have a exciting opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist to join The Portland Hospital for Women and Children, currently rated "Good" by the CQC for a 12 month Fixed-Term Contract.
The Portland Hospital is the only private hospital in the UK dedicated to the healthcare of women and children, caring for more than 40,000 children every year. We have a spacious, modern 18 bed unit within PICU (which has expanded from 9 beds and still growing), equipped with the latest technology and cutting-edge treatment all of which is medically supported by our team of Consultant Paediatric Intensivists 24/7.
As a pharmacist, you will be responsible for working across all aspects of the core pharmacy services which may include provision of medicines management, advice and evidence-based practice to inpatients and outpatients, patient services and assist with the quality, governance, and assurance of pharmacy services across campus.
You will be involved in the continuous service and professional development, audit and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs). You will also be involved and participate in relevant Quality Improvement Project(s) (QIPs).
You will be integral in providing training, education and mentorship to technical staff.

What You Will Bring
- Master's degree in pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent
- GPhC Registration
- Minimum 1 year post-registration experience in a hospital setting (desirable)
- Excellent clinical, communication and organisational skills
- Experience in training, clinical audit, or guideline development (desirable)
- Experience in specialist areas: paediatrics, women's health, critical care, cardiology and enteral nutrition (desirable)
