Production Manager
to join our
Conventions
team in
Technical
. You will be working across our two convention centres, at the ICC in Birmingham City Centre and Vox on the NEC Campus in Solihull. These venues provide conference and meeting space for up to 8,000 delegates, welcoming over 350,000 delegates every year And you will be part of a first-class team that is renowned for delivering incredible events.

About The Role
To deliver the technical elements of all events, while guiding the team to drive technical delivery forward. Developing the team through effective support, guidance and system management utilising business tools where needed. Ensuring that the department is meeting all required safety standards for all events as well as financial expectations.

Day to day You Will

  • Ensure the highest level of client satisfaction is reached.
  • Evaluate each event upon allocation to ensure the event can be delivered, alongside any neighbouring events within venue, to ensure the client and delegate experience is not compromised at any touchpoint.
  • Be responsible for local management of the ICC & Vox Technical personnel on individual events.

About You
Our Ideal Candidate will:

  • Plan, organise, arrange and deliver the technical elements for all events / dinners / exhibitions across the ICC and Vox
  • Have a good understanding of technical possibilities and the general equipment used within the venues.
  • Upsell technical items or room theming to enhance the production values, utilising the standard package set up as the foundation
  • Balance the client, catering and technical set up requirements to ensure technical resources and staffing are booked and available at the required times
  • Have an understanding of event schedules to ensure that all departments can work harmoniously, and safely, within the time allowed to deliver the event
  • Support the Creative and Technical Sales team in exploring new ideas and creative visions to enhance the clients experience and event.
