Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those they care for.

Duties

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Implement and follow care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Support residents in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organised environment.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a care assistant role or similar position is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
  • A good understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in IT skills for documentation purposes is advantageous.
  • Strong command of English is required for effective communication with residents and colleagues.
  • A caring attitude and the ability to empathise with others are essential qualities for success in this role.
