Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in the use of hand and power tools. As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Utilise diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot vehicle problems effectively.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used for each vehicle.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards while working on vehicles.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology are advantageous but not essential.
