Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where excellent customer service and attention to detail are paramount. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety standards.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and take their drink orders efficiently
  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
  • Check identification to verify legal drinking age and prevent underage sales
  • Manage cash register operations, including processing payments accurately
  • Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
  • Engage with guests to enhance their experience, providing recommendations when appropriate
  • Adhere to responsible serving practices and promote a safe environment for all patrons

Experience

  • Previous experience in hospitality, particularly in serving or bartending roles, is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of food safety standards relevant to beverage service
  • Strong skills in serving, with an emphasis on excellent customer interaction
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients accurately
  • Effective time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour
  • Personal qualities such as organisation, attentiveness, and professionalism are essential for success in this role

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: £13.50-£16.00 per hour
