**Bartender Responsibilities**:

- Bartenders work directly with customers by mixing and serving drink orders.
- Verifying age requirements, knowing alcohol pairing and tastes, knowing how to make traditional and classy drinks, processing payments, managing inventory, and cleaning bar supplies.
- Handle food orders directly from customers or the wait staff and inform customers of any specials.
- Ensure food and beverage compliance, restock bar inventory, decide on menu items and manage the overall bar operations.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be friendly, organized, have a good memory and can communicate efficiently and effectively with a diverse group of customers.
- Must be energetic, and confident, have a strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages and practice good time management skills.
- Must be able to work quickly, in fast-paced environments, and methodically.
- The ability to lift 25 lbs or more is very important during the course of the night.

**Who does a Bartender work with?**

Bartenders work directly with Barbacks, Busboys Depending on the bar, they can also work with Waiters/Waitresses, Hostesses, and other kitchen staff.
