At MiCiM, we specialise in delivering end-to-end project management and construction solutions for the Data Centre and Mission Critical sectors. Our collaborative and transparent approach sets the standard for excellence — and we're looking for talented Electrical & Mechanical Engineers who are ready to take their expertise across borders as part of our industry-leading commissioning team.
About the Role:
As a Commissioning Manager, you'll play a vital role in planning, overseeing, and delivering robust commissioning processes on high-profile projects across the UK and Europe. You'll work closely with our site teams, specialist contractors, and independent witnessing authorities to ensure every system is tested, documented, and handed over to the highest standard.
We're seeking someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys travel, and takes pride in seeing complex engineering systems come to life across international projects.
You will:
- Lead the full commissioning lifecycle, from planning and risk management to final system sign-off.
- Coordinate commissioning activities across multiple European sites and attend factory acceptance testing (FAT) visits.
- Act as the go-to expert on commissioning, collaborating with project managers, consultants, and clients.
- Develop and maintain commissioning strategies, plans, and trackers in line with MiCiM's ISO-accredited processes.
- Guide teams through Level 1–5 testing and sign-off procedures.
- Proactively manage risks, escalate issues, and identify opportunities to improve delivery.
- Ensure safety, quality, and client satisfaction remain at the heart of every project.
About You:
You're a confident and experienced engineer who's motivated by technical excellence, collaboration, and the opportunity to work on world-class facilities.
You have:
- Proven experience in MEP systems and project commissioning.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multi-site activities.
- A methodical, solutions-focused mindset that keeps projects on track — wherever they are.
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for regular travel across Europe for project delivery and factory testing.
- A commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Why Join MiCiM?
- Competitive Compensation: Excellent salary package with performance-based bonuses.
- Enhanced Paid Time Off: 24 days annual leave + Christmas shutdown.
- Career Growth: Clear development pathways, mentorship, and training opportunities — including support toward professional chartership.
- International Exposure: Work on cutting-edge projects across Europe and collaborate with leading clients and partners in the Data Centre and Mission Critical sectors.
- Sustainability Focus: Join projects that set benchmarks for energy efficiency and environmental performance.
- Work-Life Balance: A supportive, family-focused culture with enhanced benefits for mental health, neurodiversity, maternity, paternity, and menopause.
- Diversity & Inclusion: MiCiM is a co-founding member of FWD – Forum for Women in Data Centres, actively promoting equality and inclusion across our teams.
- Community Engagement: 2 paid days of volunteering leave per year to support causes you care about.
Join MiCiM and help deliver the next generation of mission critical infrastructure — across Europe and beyond.
