The Opportunity:
Are you passionate about driving operational excellence and making a real impact? Vernacare is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Chorley site. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and influence change across multiple manufacturing sites using Lean Six Sigma and other CI methodologies.
About the Role:
As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, youll be at the forefront of transforming our manufacturing operations. Youll lead initiatives that reduce waste, improve processes, and enhance performance. From Kaizen events to layout redesigns, your work will directly contribute to our mission of everybody, everyday improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute CI projects using Lean Six Sigma tools.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, and Standard Work documentation.
- Drive waste reduction and process optimisation across sites.
- Support new product and process introductions, including trials and validations.
- Coach and mentor CI practitioners and cross-functional teams.
- Analyse performance gaps and implement solutions to meet KPIs.
- Collaborate with leadership to align CI strategy with business goals.
- Benchmark best practices and assess feasibility for implementation.
- Improve manufacturing and warehouse layouts for better flow and efficiency.
What Were Looking For Essential:
- Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing or CI-focused role.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, VSM, and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Passion for learning, coaching, and continuous improvement.
Desirable:
- Green Belt Certification.
- Experience in cross-functional business environments.
- Advanced CI certifications and statistical analysis training.
- Strong facilitation and coaching abilities.
