Job Overview
The Senior Business Manager is responsible for generating fee revenue through temporary and permanent placements. Primarily responsible for managing all client-based activity. You will collaborate with recruitment to introduce suitably qualified and experienced candidates to our clients. Dependant on the client demand, you may also be required to support recruitment.
You will support the Divisional Manager with the day-to-day running of the division. These responsibilities include but are not limited to supervising, coaching, and training of junior team members.
Key Responsibilities: -
Sales
· Build and maintain strategic relationships with prospective new clients. Agree and negotiate terms of business in line with the business pricing schedule.
· Manage active client relationships and identify opportunities for account expansion and upselling.
· Responsible for onboarding new vacancies, CV submissions and managing the client follow up.
· Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction, including recruitment, operations and payroll.
· Develop and implement strategies to generate new leads and business opportunities.
· Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities, industry trends and customer needs.
· Analyse data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Recruitment
· Operating to the Candidate Acquisition Strategy; identify, attract, and engage prospective candidates to fulfil client job vacancies.
· Utilise various sourcing techniques such as boolean searching, professional networking sites such as Linked In, job boards and candidate referrals.
· Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified candidates, including passive candidates, tracking their availability.
· Evaluate candidates' skills and experience and culture fit to meet the client's requirements.
· Negotiate candidate pay rates and/or salary levels.
· Conduct initial screening of prospective candidates over the telephone, teams and/or face to face.
· Actively map and build candidate shortlists for the sales team.
· Utilise media platforms to develop and enhance your candidate networks.
· Complete pre-employment and compliance checks in line with company policies and relevant legislation.
· Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
· Comply with company management systems, reporting and quality procedures including accurate database management.
Requirements
· Successful track record working in recruitment, preferably operating within a niche sector.
· Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, employment laws and regulations.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
· Organised and ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
· Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
· IT literate and familiar with social media and digital platforms.

· Fee revenue from contract and permanent placements in accordance with company thresholds.
· Daily, weekly and monthly sales/recruitment activities.
