We're excited to recruit two passionate Housing Caseworkers who want to make a real difference. In this role, you'll work directly with households who are homeless or at risk of losing their home, offering practical solutions and compassionate support.
If you're someone who thrives under pressure, thinks creatively, and genuinely cares about helping people, we'd love to hear from you. You'll provide tailored advice and creative interventions to prevent and relieve homelessness—changing lives every day.
Ideally, but not essentially, you will have previous housing or Local Authority experience, and an in-depth working knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 part VII (as amended by the Homelessness Act 2002. Localism Act 2011 and the Homeless Reduction Act 2017).
If you do not have previous experience in housing or in a Local Authority but are adaptable and a quick learner with a positive attitude, then please do consider this opportunity as we are looking for some-one who shares our values and is committed to improving the lives of our residents.
You will enjoy solving problems, taking on difficult challenges and finding creative solutions, be people focussed and are level-headed when under pressure.
You will be able to communicate clearly and adapt your style and approach to those that you are addressing whether this in person, in writing or on the phone.

*To be successful in this role, you will:*
- Have a good level of literacy and numeracy – Equivalent to achieving GCSE Maths and English Grade C (4) or above.
- Have relevant experience and an understanding of housing, or transferable skills and the aptitude to learn quickly that would enable you to learn on the job.
- Have good attention to detail, remain level-headed and have positive approach to your work.
- Have good customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly and accurately with colleagues, members of the public and partner agencies, both in writing and verbally.
- Cooperate with others to achieve good outcomes as a team.
- Build and maintain effective and productive working relationships.
