Overview:
We are looking for strategic debt manager with strong understanding of the overall Collection workflow related to Cards, Loans, Mortgages develop and implement comprehensive strategies to maximize debt recovery, minimize delinquencies, and ensure regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include managing collection teams, analysing debt data to identify trends, structuring debt recovery solutions, collaborating with internal teams, and staying updated on regulations. Essential qualifications often include negotiation skills, and experience in corporate credit, debt restructuring, or collections.
Your Role:
- Design and execute strategies to improve collection efficiency and reduce outstanding debt.
- Manage and motivate a collection team to achieve recovery targets and maintain high performance.
- Analyse debt portfolio data to identify trends, risk areas, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Ensure all debt collection activities adhere to relevant regulations, such as those from the RBI (Reserve Bank of India) and the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC).
- Work with various internal departments (e.g., finance, legal) and potentially external partners to resolve complex debt issues.
- Mitigate risks associated with debt collection and ensure adherence to company policies and industry best practices.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on collection performance and strategic initiatives.
Your Profile:
- Several years of experience in debt collection, debt restructuring, corporate credit, or financial advisory.
- Strong ability to analyse financial data, identify trends, and develop data-driven strategies.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to resolve debt issues effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian regulatory frameworks, including RBI guidelines and IBC regulations.
- A proactive and innovative approach to tackling complex debt scenarios.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines."
